Taiji or Taiji chuan (or Tai chi chuan) to give it it's full name is an ancient Chinese martial art now widely practised throughout the World for it's health enhancing benefits. There are several main styles of Taiji including Chen style and Yang style; however all of them follow the same principles including relaxation, co-ordination and balance.

Although Taiji is a martial art, it can be practised as a way to improve fitness and health and this is my particular focus in the classes I teach.  Taiji can be practised anywhere and does not need special equipment.  Comfortable, loose clothing and footwear with thin soles or bare feet are all that is necessary.
